We’ve all heard about inflammation, but I don’t think we all understand really what inflammation is.
Inflammation is the cause of most of the problems that we deal with when it comes to neck, back, spine and joint pain. That’s something that we all kind of understand, but the bigger problem is that chronic inflammation causes bad things.
It causes the chronic illnesses you hear about. When we talk about things like heart disease, liver disease, osteoarthritis — all those different things are caused by this chronic inflammation in the body, so we have to get rid of it.
Chronic inflammation is the root of all problems and pain. We need to make sure the inflammation goes away.
By making sure that inflammation goes away, we restore proper functionality to the body.
That means, not only are the joints, the muscles, the tendons, and the ligaments all able to function and move the way they should, but it also takes pressure off the nerves in the nervous system, allowing your brain proper communication with the rest of your body, so everything functions the way it should.
When you start changing the way you move — for example, when you move one hip a little bit less, and the other one a little bit more — we start overusing muscle patterns and muscle movements. One muscle group becomes larger than the other. One starts to deteriorate.
We start getting degeneration.
Now the other parts of your body start to try to compensate to take that pressure away.
The nervous system is overloaded with this physical and mental stress, and you start to get chronic and permanent issues. This is what we don’t want, so let’s get rid of the inflammation.
Let’s get your body working the right way, because if we get rid of inflammation, you’re going to feel better, and you’re going to be much better off in the long run.
