Arthritis

What Is Osteoarthritis?

Let’s talk about arthritis.

The most common form of arthritis you’re going to see and hear about is osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition, with which you see bone spurs and decreased disk space. This leads to degenerative disc disease.

These two things are preventable.

If you don’t get to the reason why they’re there, though, they’re going to keep getting worse and worse.

Eventually you will need some sort of surgery, whether it’s hip replacement or spinal fusion, because there’s no intervening options if you don’t know what the issue is. Most professionals do not focus on the issue until we get to an emergency situation.

That’s how we differ.

We look at what your biomechanics movement patterns and what’s going on within the whole body, so we can make sure we start restoring it. We can take the reason for having that arthritis away and make sure it doesn’t get worse, because the reason arthritis forms is abnormal pressure over the joint or bone for long periods of time.

In other words, it doesn’t happen right away. It’s a process — a degenerative issue that goes and goes and goes and moves and moves as you get older and it’s there longer.

The quicker you get it treated and you get that issue taken away, the better your results are going to be. The longer it’s there, the more the issue you’re going to have.

Please get checked and get treated as soon as you start feeling symptoms, because the quicker you get involved, the better end results you’re going to get.
